March 2025: Uganda in 3 Weeks!

We are excited to embark on the very first Nurses Heart to Heart teaching trip to Uganda!
We leave for Kampala, the capital city, on March 28th and return April 8th. We look forward to making new friends and building the framework for strong relationships here!
Just as we did in Mongolia, we will be bringing CPR manikins and other supplies to teach with and then donate for continuing training programs at clinics, hospitals, and nursing schools.
In Mongolia, your generosity over the course of 11 years made it possible for NHTH to donate 260 CPR manikins and 12 labor & delivery manikin sets and to teach over 5,000 nurses, midwives, and others. It is thrilling to be at the beginning of what we hope will be a similarly long and meaningful investment in nursing education and support in Uganda.

Those of you following international health news will have seen that there was an outbreak of Sudan Virus Disease in Kampala at the end of January. We are grateful to report that as of February 18th, there are no longer any active cases of SVD. While we are still keeping a close eye on the situation, based on the most recent news from the World Health Organization (WHO), we are confident that this will not affect our plans. We're excited to share more about this trip with you over the next couple weeks and we hope you'll choose to get involved!
