We cannot thank you all enough for your support of our special International Nurses Day giving campaign in May. We had a few final gifts trickle in during June and July and we’ve got our final tally: your generosity will fund 202 nurses and midwives to attend day-long training intensives at the Nursing and Midwifery Development Centre in Iraq!
To give you a sense of what this means, let’s say that each nurse or midwife saw 10 patients a day, five days a week, for one month: that’s 40,400 patients! Just in that one hypothetical month!
